Snowboard Challenge: Shred with the Best
Ready to take to the hills with some gnarly jumps? Snowboard Challenge you hop on board your shred sled and torpedo down an epic mountainside. If you hit the jumps, you’ll take to the air for some wicked tricks. But be careful, the course is full of gnarly obstacles that you’ll have to slalom past or you’ll wind up eating snow. Here are a few tips to boost your score and make you top airdog.
Stay at the top of the screen to anticipate obstacles. This gives you a better chance of noticing them and zig-zagging out of the way. Try to stay in the middle for more maneuverability. Also, this puts you in position for the heaps of snow that you can use for jumps. Obstacles come in the form of clotheslines, trees, rocks, logs, large snow piles, and outhouses. Wiping out on a log or a rock will wipe you out and take away a life. Everything else will slow you down and end your score multiplier. If you want to achieve the best score possible, then you’ll have to dodge everything.
To do tricks, you’ll have to hit a heap of snow to get some airtime. You will use the keys on your keyboard to do tricks. Pressing the A key will do a 360. Pressing the S key will do an ollie. Pressing the D key will do a flip. You can continue to do tricks for as long as you’re in the air. But if you hit the ground in the midst of a trick you will wipe out, not score any points for your tricks, and lose your trick modifier score. The ollie takes the longest amount of time to perform, followed by the 360. The flip is the fastest trick. Since all the tricks give you the same amount of points, you should only press the D key to do the flip. But if you want to shred with style, you can mix it up. If you’re fast, you should be able to do four flips in a single jump.
While you are airborne, don’t lose your head in the clouds performing those dope tricks. It’s very easy to hit an obstacle and wipe out as soon as you land if you’re not paying attention. Check out the course ahead as you start to descend from your jump and plan accordingly. It’s also easy to slide face first into a tree when you start a new level. You start every level exactly where you left off in the course. So, if there was a rock in your path when you finished the level, it will still be there when you start the next level.
There are ten levels of snowboarding excitement. You reach a new level when you achieve a certain score. At each level, you snowboard increasingly faster—making it more difficult to dodge obstacles. But if you keep your score modifier going and sneak in four jumps at a time, then you should easily finish with flying colors. See you at the bottom.
