Lt. Fly vs The Spiders from Above: Bootcamp
Do you find puzzle games too slow-paced? Are action games not intellectual enough? Then it’s time to get drafted into the fly battallion in Lt. Fly vs The Spiders from Above. Lt. Fly is a fusion of a puzzle game and an action game, taking the best elements from both genres.
In Lt. Fly vs The Spiders from Above, you’ll have to defend against an onslaught of enemy spiders as they descend upon you. You must do this by obtaining weaponry from matching colors in a puzzle grid, then firing at the spiders with your cannon. If too many spiders reach the bottom, your spider-o-meter will fill up—and that’s game over. Gaining weaponry requires fast-paced strategy, while hitting the spiders requires dexterity and timing. You will have to excell at both to defend against the eight-legged assault.
The puzzle grid consists of four colored tokens—green, pink, blue, orange. You can click on any color token to change it to the color given each turn by Major Maggot. If you form a set of four adjacent tokens of the same color, the tokens will disappear, causing tokens in the grid to drop own. Your goal is to drop the special weapon tokens to the bottom of the grid so that they can be added to your arsenal and deployed against enemy spiders.
To repel the eight-legged invasion, you’ll have an assortment of weapony at your disposal. Bullets come in tokens of one, three, or five at a time. You point the cannon with your mouse cursor and click to fire at the spiders. You will also pick up advanced weaponry like bombs and flamethrowers. Bombs will annihilate all the spiders present and the flamethrower will shoot out a constant stream of fire, turning your venomous enemies into cinders. Once you shoot down the the entire infantry of spiders, you will go on to the next mission where the challenge is greater and the stakes are higher.
The strategy in Lt. Fly vs The Spiders from Above is to balance your shooting skills with your puzzle skills. If you are deficient in either one, you’ll be caught in the spiders’ webs in moments. If you don’t match colors fast enough you won’t obtain any ammo to fire. But if you can’t hit the broad side of a barn, then the spiders will creep right past your cannon fire. It will take everything you’ve got to repel the arachnid invaders. Suit up, soldier.
